Encinitas’ San Diego Botanic Garden (SDBG) was recently named one of the Top 10 botanical gardens in North America by USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards. SDBG was nominated for the award in early April by a panel of experts, and was ranked ninth among 20 contestants from the United States, Mexico, and Canada following four weeks of online voting. “We are deeply gratified to be named one of the best botanical gardens in North America,” said SDBG President and CEO Ari Novy, PhD. “We are thrilled to serve the San Diego area and beyond by caring for a highly diverse set of plants and inspiring the public to value our flora.”

SDBG’s 37-acre property is home to 5,000 plant species from around the world, including several extremely rare and endangered species. Discover more at www.sdbgarden.org.
