Encinitas artists Laura Cunningham, Melissa Marquardt, Kevin McGinnis, and Elisabeth Sullivan will be among over 350 local, national, and international artists showcasing their work at the 35th Annual Mission Federal ArtWalk in Little Italy on April 27 to 28. The event is the largest and longest running arts festival in Southern California, drawing more than 120,000 visitors to view art mediums including painting, sculpture, glass work, photography, and fine jewelry. Attendees can enjoy free live music, dance performances, interactive art experiences, street food, family-friendly art projects at KidsWalk, and more.

Mission Federal ArtWalk will also host a Surfboard Art Auction in partnership with Rerip, a nonprofit organization that specializes in repurposing surfboards to minimize waste. Artists will transform 35 upcycled surfboards to be auctioned off online and in the Piazza della Famiglia during the event, benefiting ArtReach, Mission Federal ArtWalk’s nonprofit partner that delivers visual arts education to underserved K-8 schools in San Diego.
