Encinitas’ Community Resource Center (CRC) is holding an ongoing fundraising campaign for a new delivery truck. The truck is used Monday through Friday to pick up donated food from all over North County San Diego for CRC’s Food & Nutrition Center to help local families in need. The truck is also used to help transport items during Holiday Baskets and to help shelter residents move into independent housing. The current truck is constantly breaking down and needs to be replaced.

Established in 1979, CRC is a nonprofit organization that works to end hunger, homelessness, and domestic violence in North County. CRC provides a domestic violence emergency shelter, hotline, and education/prevention outreach, a Therapeutic Children’s Center, professional counseling, legal advocacy, food and nutrition distribution center, homelessness prevention, and rental and housing assistance.
