A Look at 92024’s Real Estate Numbers

The figures are in for January, and the numbers remain quite strong for home sales in 92024. A quick comparison to the same time period last year shows some minor fluctuations.

92024 held steady with new listings in January with a total of 58 new single family home listings hitting the market, compared to 53 new listings in January 2017 (an increase of 9%). However, the total inventory of single family homes for sale was down 37% with 51 homes available for purchase (versus 81 during the same period last year).

The average number of days that homes were on the market during January was 44 days (compared to 57 days in January 2017). The 22% faster selling time is consistent with the drop in inventory supply.

Although we see some flattening out, home values are very strong (and continue to be at or near an all-time high). The median sales price of a 92024 single family home during the month of January was $1,180,000 (an increase of 2.2% compared to last January’s $1,155,000 median price).
