Lone Ranger is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. He’s a 2-year-old, 22-pound male Beagle.

When Lone Ranger arrived at Rancho Coastal Humane Society, he was accompanied by his friend Tonto. Tonto was adopted right away and now he really is a Lone Ranger. Since he’s always had his friend close by, Lone Ranger will do best in a home with another dog that can show him the ropes and boost his confidence.

Lone Ranger is one of the dogs that was rescued from a large commercial breeding operation then transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS) program. He’s a sweet dog that will need some time to adjust to life in a real home, surrounded by people who love him.

The $145 adoption fee for Lone Ranger includes medical exam, vaccinations, neuter, and microchip. For more information call 760-753-6413, visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas, or log on to SDpets.org. Kennels and Cattery open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day but Tuesday.
