Ziwi (pronounced zee-wee) is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s a 1-year-old, 7-pound, Domestic Short Hair.

Ziwi arrived at Rancho Coastal with her litter of kittens. She was a tiny cat that needed the food and love she had been lacking. Now that she’s not surrounded by her babies, her personality has begun to emerge. She loves getting attention. She can’t get or give too much love. Ziwi is very outgoing and friendly. She gets along well with other cats, but she seems to prefer people. She might do best in a home where she is the only cat and she can get all of the attention. Ziwi might like to live with some older, gentle children and adults.

Ziwi was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society from another shelter through the FOCAS program.

The $125 adoption fee for Ziwi includes medical exam, vaccinations, spay, and microchip. For more information call 760-753-6413, visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas, or log on to SDpets.org. Kennels and Cattery open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day but Tuesday.
