Pirate is a one-year-old, nine pound, domestic short-hair cat. Pirate gets his name from the black patch of fur over his right eye. Most of his coat is black and dark gray but he has a white face and four white paws. Pirate gets along great with other cats. He also enjoys greeting guests into the cattery. Before being transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the FOCAS program, Pirate was a stray.

The $100 adoption fee for Pirate includes his medical exam, vaccinations, neutering, and microchip. Visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas or log on to SDpets.org. Call 760-753-6413 for more information. Kennels and Cattery are open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day but Tuesday.
