The Olivenhain Meeting Hall turns 120 years old this year. The Olivenhain Town Council will be sponsoring a lively, fun-filled celebration on March 22 from 2 to 5 p.m.

The hall is a community meeting house located at 423 Rancho Santa Fe Road in Olivenhain, California. Almost every important event in the community’s history has taken place in its space and on its grounds. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 17, 1993.

The March 22 celebration will be a festive, informative, and family-friendly event. It will feature docent-led tours of the Hall and grounds, period music, people in authentic 1890s attire, historical photographs, infographics, videos, vintage ice cream, pony rides for kids, and Olivenhain memorabilia. Descendants of the original colonists will be sharing their memories and perspectives.

Local, County, and Federal dignitaries will speak, and proclamations declaring March 22 Olivenhain Meeting Hall Day are expected to be issued.
