Leo is the pet of the week at the Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS). He’s a 2-year-old, 11- pound, medium haired, Orange Tabby.

According to RCHS, Leo is a very handsome cat with golden eyes and long white whiskers. He has a big, bushy, tail and soft, thick coat. When you walk into the cattery, Leo will come to greet you with a soft “meow.” He’ll rub softly against your leg then wait for you to reach down and pet him. As soon as you touch Leo, he starts to purr. If you don’t reach down, he’ll tap you lightly on your knee with his paw.He gets along great with other cats. If you have kids for him to play with, he would love that.

The $100 adoption fee for Leo includes medical exam, vaccinations, neuter, and microchip. Visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas or log on to www.sdpets.org. Call 760-753-6413 for more information. Kennels and cattery are open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day but Tuesday.
