The Relay For Life of Encinitas recently took place at Diegueno Middle School with an opening ceremony to remember those who have battled cancer and to inspire hope for all cancer patients, their families, and friends. After the run, a luminaria ceremony was held to remember lost loved ones and show support to those currently battling or surviving cancer. The community came together to work through their grief and find hope, or light, as the lit luminarias symbolized. The evening came to an end with the closing ceremony. Participants took time to reflect on their lives and commitment to fight on for a cure. For more information about Relay For Life of Encinitas visit
