U.S. Military Personnel and Families Admitted Free to San Diego Botanic Garden
All active duty U.S. Military personnel and their families (card carrier plus five immediate family members) are invited to come to the San Diego Botanic Garden for free the entire month of August.
This month, military families are also invited to come to Thursday Family Fun Night, an evening of family-friendly entertainment in our nationally-acclaimed Hamilton Children’s Garden. Each Thursday from 6-7 p.m., kid-friendly entertainment will take center stage. This month enjoy African drumming, singing and dancing with Zimbeat on Thursday, Aug. 14, the fun-loving Clint Perry and the Boo Hoo Crew on Thursday, Aug. 21, and San Diego’s own Hulaballoo on Thursday, Aug. 28.
Simply show one of the following active military I.D. cards at the Garden’s Welcome Center for free admission: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserve.
Thanks to the generous support of a long-time Garden member, the San Diego Botanic Garden is able to offer free admission to active duty military members and their families in August as a part of the Blue Star Museum program.
