This Sept. 13 and 14, the Chelsea’s Light Foundation will be holding their annual two-day youth baseball and softball tournament, Home Run for Chelsea (HRC), uniting the Southern California community to make a positive difference in the lives of youth. Last year, over 100 teams participated from across Southern California, and the HRC raised $20,000 for the Chelsea’s Light Foundation.

The tournament will take place at the Sportsplex USA in San Diego. There will be a $2.50 entrance fee for patrons 16 years or older, including coaches. In return, patrons will get a token redeemable for $2.50 towards the purchase of a beverage at the Sportspub.

For team registration, the fee is $325 per team and the deadline to register is Sept. 1. Teams can register at chelseaslightfoundation.sportssignup.com.

The Chelsea’s Light Foundation’s mission is to unite people who are passionate about protecting their children and inspiring positive change in their community. Chelsea’s Law, which increased penalties, parole provisions, and oversight for the worst of the worst sex offenders in our society, was signed into law in 2010. Chelsea’s Light Foundation’s goal is to see Chelsea’s Law passed in all fifty states and targeted efforts are currently underway in Illinois, Ohio, and Texas.
