This is the second year of the Coast Highway Traders Artisan Market. Last year the market had such an amazing response to all their local artisan’s that Coast Highway Traders will begin a whole new year of markets. On Saturday May 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the traders invite you to support your local artists and small business in downtown Encinitas. This market will feature three very talented local artists, Linda Deremo, Cheryl of Iyla Designs, and Yvonne of BottleDecorByYvonne

The market includes Native American jewelry artist Linda Deremo. Linda uses high-quality natural gemstones and shells, including turquoise, coral, spiny oyster, lapis, and a new material Elk along with fine silver to create beautiful Native American jewelry. Yvonne Sliger uses an array of beautiful crystal chandelier remnants, semi-precious stones, vintage jewelry, coral, seashells and starfish all supported by a variety of vintage bottles varying in age. These recycled beauties from the past are each transformed into a unique piece of art. Cheryl Cameron of Iyla Designs is a metal smith and jewelry artist. Her medium is precious metals, gems and minerals made into wearable art. Her inspiration comes from colors and textures she sees or find in nature and around her. All participants are artists not normally found at Coast Highway Traders.

Coast Highway Traders has been in business for over sixteen years and has always believed in supporting the small local artist. They believe in shopping outside the box. Their store houses local artisans with handmade gifts, an array of exotic gifts from around the world, and the largest selection of Day of the Dead merchandise in San Diego
