On Sunday, April 27th at 6:30 p.m., Guitars in the Classroom will present a community concert at the Encinitas Public Library featuring pianist Louis Landon, Steinway Artist. Landon has dedicated his life to music and now performs in the spirit of creating peace. The evening will feature a selection of signature pieces made popular by Frank Sinatra. Landon will also include other favorites from his repertoire.

Opening the evening will be young classical guitarists from the Devine School of Guitar in Encinitas. The Sunday audience will also be treated to a special musical performance by The TERI Players, musicians overcoming the challenges of autism to develop their abilities to communicate, cooperate and present their artistry to an audience. Under the guidance of Performing Arts Director, George Thompson, the TERI Players are part of an inspired movement to make life a rich, positive and love-filled experience for those with autism and other disabilities. This community music evening is sponsored by educational not-for-profit Guitars in the Classroom, training classroom teachers to sing, play, write and lead songs for learning everyday in elementary schools. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will fund free music integration training for teachers in North County. Tickets are available online here or at the door.
