San Diego Yarn Crawl
Attention all knitting, yarn, fiber, weaving and textile art enthusiasts! Announcing the premier San Diego Yarn Crawl, Sept. 26 through 29. This free, self-paced, self-guided tour of eight San Diego yarn stores, two alpaca farms and one Yarnover Truck, will take crawlers from San Marcos to Chula Vista, Ramona to Encinitas. The adventure runs Thursday through Sunday. Prepare for a very unique San Diego experience: get back to the “country” environment and experience two actual alpaca ranches and then go shop for a variety of yarns, needles and accessories. This is the first west coast yarn crawl to invite local alpaca farms to participate. Each store will have its own special events, designers, etc. Crawlers will print out their own yarn crawl passport from the SDYC website, and have it stamped at every store or farm they visit! Passports are collected at each location and entered to win gift baskets filled with all kinds of yarn and fiber goodies. Crawlers who visit all locations are entered to win the grand prize, a $500 gift certificate redeemable at any participating location.
